Drone Batteries: Temperature – Sensitive Powerhouses
Drone batteries, especially lithium – ion batteries, are highly sensitive to temperature. When a drone is in operation, the batteries generate heat due to the chemical reactions occurring during discharge and recharge. High temperatures can accelerate battery degradation, reduce its overall lifespan, and even pose safety risks such as thermal runaway. In extreme cases, overheating batteries can cause drones to malfunction mid – flight, leading to potential crashes. The development of mini chiller is a response to these challenges, aiming to maintain battery temperatures within the optimal range for peak performance.
